The Forsyth County Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation, established in 2003, hosts annual events to honor, recognize, and support our local current and fallen law enforcement heroes. Funds raised by the Foundation are used in various charitable ways including the support of the National Law Enforcement Memorial Events. Our current goal is to create a memorial in Forsyth County for all local LE officers killed in the line of duty.
Our Purpose:
- To foster respect and support for all members of the Law Enforcement community, particularly the families of officers fallen or injured in the line of duty,
- to provide for and encourage multiple forms of support for officers and their families in the aftermath of injuries or death,
- to encourage and model inter-agency cooperation throughout Forsyth County,
- to promote awareness among the general public of the sacrifices and needs of Law Enforcement officers everywhere,
- and to encourage trust, networking, mutual understanding, and community building between the citizens of Forsyth County and the Law Enforcement Community.
Our Members
Our Board consists of members from many of the Forsyth County Law Enforcement agencies. We strive to maintain a diverse membership so that we are able to address the concerns of all agencies equally. We also have members from the LE community that are family members of currently serving or fallen officers that have a common desire to support our LE Officers. Currently we have members from each of the following local agencies. If you are a member of a Forsyth County LE agency and are interested in becoming a member, please contact Ginger Amos at gingerkamos@embarqmail.com.
